Portrait in Acrylics
I painted this small 8″ x 6 ” portrait of the man, himself, Anders Zorn, taken from a full body self portrait by the man, himself. The portrait is in acrylics, using the Zorn palette of cadmium red, yellow ochre, mars black, and titanium white, with a little burnt umber and raw umber thrown in for good measure, and a touch of phthalo blue for the tie. This portrait features much less layering and more impasto work. This was a very enjoyable exercise, indeed.
This is another portrait from WillKempArtSchool.com‘s acrylic portrait exercises.
